Super happy to announce that Dora Horvath (Rogue, Roam & Seek) will be joining us again as one of the sponsored pro riders on Girls Week!! Always a whirlwind of incredible tricks and determination, we were stoked for her that after our camp last Summer she got her own signature deck with Rogue Skateboards. On top of this she always brings a big smile to camp and is super helpful and friendly when helping the newer girls learn to skate. As always the camp is open to all ages and abilities – and its a great opportunity to learn to skate in a fun and friendly environment, just with girls. As an extra bonus this year – every girl will be getting 2 decks!! Come join the fun this Summer. Full info and sign up here.
One of our favourite skate camp edits (thanks to Olly Bennett) from the Summer of 2013 – showing off the total skatepark annihilation by that weeks young guns (with help from Wallace, Hewett and Else). Awesome vibe – amazing to see the Euro and UK skaters tearing the place up and having a whole load of fun. We visited a huge number of parks (thank you sunshine) and definitely made some crazy memories!!
Super excited to announce that this year we’ll be giving every skater 2 decks!! We’ve got some cool designs being worked on and they’re heading off to print and manufacturing soon, so watch this space. In the meantime, here’s Geoff looking happy and holding 2 decks!!
An awesome new edit from Camp Rubicon leader Geoff. In his own words: “Were you sick this Halloween? No? Then vomit now and watch me in HD. Some skate camp bits and pieces and cheeky trip north of the Wall. Thanks to those who filmed. Share the vid and spread the word. Skate Camp life, it’s like a long term relationship with a Velociraptor. Don’t die of boredom, sign up now you zombie scum . Peace.” Enough said. Enjoy.
Stoked to announce that Camilla Mullins (Rokeo) will be joining us[image][/image] on Girls Week. She’ll be on hand to help girls learn some new skills and tricks – and will undoubtedly be throwing down plenty of hammers of her own at all the parks we visit! Last year she came 2nd in the Girl Skate Jam and 1st in the pixels YouTour comp which meant she go to hit up Gran Canaria with the Shiner crew! She also won the Jam at the awesome popup skatepark that was setup in Selfridges a few months back! Check out her awesome ‘Welcome to Rokeo’ edit below, as well as her killer 2013 edit below and soak in the great photo from Jenna Selby of Camilla at the Girls Jam. We’ll see her and Dora and all the rest of you in a weeks time! So hyped! Make sure you’re following us on facebook, instagram and twitter to follow all the action!
Joining the staff for the first week of the Summer is Colombian rider and London resident El Rico Camargo. He’s had a busy 2014, hitting up The Hangup contest in Norway, the Vert Attack comp in Sweden with some casual riding in Spain, Germany and France thrown in too, not to mention getting heavy in the halfpipe at the VolksWorld show! Great to have him helping out on skate camp… I wonder how many parks we’ll hit up that week? You can check out some cool pics and vids below. Brummie ripper Jamie Hewett (Ideal, Bandit) will be back for his third year. He’s had a crazy 12 months since we last saw him on Camp – it started off with a great session at Volcom Wild In The Parks, followed by a brutal hall of meat level slam at Flo Skatepark that took him out of action for 3 months, but then he bounced back with a double page spread in Sidewalk Mag, released a sick promo edit, demo’d for a week at The Gadget Show and he’ll be hitting up the Shop Comp for Ideal at the Addidas Skate Copa this weekend! Always a camp favourite with his crazy level of hype and you can check out photos and videos of all these things below. [image][/image] [image][/image] [image][/image] [image][/image] [image][/image]
