We’re stoked that Alex DeCunha (Jart, Skate Warehouse, Stance, GoPro…) will be joining us on our Easter Skate Camp again. He’s kicked off his 2018 with the Simple Session contest in Estonia following a bunch of comps at the end of 2017 like the RTM World Cup in Rotterdam, Flowgrind International Open in Slovenia and the Nike AM Series in Barcelona! Awesome skater and it’ll be great to have him in the Easter action. Please note that the Easter Skate Camp is already full but you can sign up for one of the Summer camps now – places are going fast – and we’ve got an exciting announcement about pro riders coming soon!
Proper stoked to announce that Marina Lopez (MGP) will be flying over from Barcelona to join our crew of sponsored riders on Girls Week this Summer. One of the best female riders in Europe, she recently entered the Haske Street Jam and was the only girl to ride the insane 12 stair-set (and there weren’t many boys either!) and she threw a super clean double whip down it for good measure!!! Check out the photo by Zoond Photography to the right to see what we’re talking about! Anyway, the camp runs from July 27th to 31st and as always the camp is girls only but open to all ages and abilities. It’s the ultimate week of Summer fun for those who want to learn to ride in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. If you want to join Marina and loads of other girls for a week long residential scoot, skate, bmx and inline camp just for girls – and get the chance to visit a whole bunch of different skateparks and learn from sponsored riders – then head to the Girls Page for more information and to sign up. The camps are based in the UK (near Birmingham) – but…
Stoked to announce that Becky Jaques (Neff, Moonshine) will be joining the list of sponsored riders for Girls Week!! We think she’s a perfect match for Girls Camp as not only is she an awesome rider who will be able to help others learn but we can’t remember ever seeing her without a big smile on her face! As always the camp is girls only and open to all ages and abilities. It’s the ultimate week of Summer fun for those who want to learn to skate in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Not only will the group visit different skateparks each day but as an extra bonus this year – every girl will be getting 2 free decks!! Becky’s been involved in some great skate tours over the years, including an amazing trip to Bilbao (Spain) as well as huge Summer tour all around the UK. You can check out a little edit from the Bilbao trip below and she’s also had interviews with everyone from Cooler Mag to Sidewalk Magazine, and she’s got some of the best skate photos in the game. Come join the fun this Summer. Full info and sign up here.
Hyped to announce that Welsh shredder Caradog Emanuel (Kill City, Krux, Momentum, Shiner, City Surf) will be joining us on Week 4 of the Summer Skate Camps! [image][/image]At the end of last month Kill City released his awesome part for the new Overdose film (see below), he’s also busy filming for the new Cardiff Scene video ‘No Time Like The Present’ (see trailer below), he’s had recent parts in the Shiner Section for Perfect Blues (watch here), the opening section in ‘Now! That’s What I Call Skateboarding’ (see here) and plenty of clips in the follow-up ‘Black And Decker’ edit (see here)! That’s not even mentioning his Rookies Section for Kill City or even his Curtain Call over at Redbull. They summed it pretty well: “What makes skateboarding different from sport is that, when all the stairs have been counted and stunts logged, ultimately some people are just more exciting to watch than others. A creative spark, a sense of recklessness, an unusual technique – something which makes you sit up and take notice. That’s Caradog…” Can’t wait for the Summer. Get signed up! Photo (c) Jerome Loughran
